Due to the high demand for racing during the winter as well, this year we’re planning to organise Prokart Winter Cup championship, which will take place in the racing track Rullīši, in Jelgava.
The vision is to build the tracks on the nearby pond, the actual racing track or the gravel depending on the weather conditions. The current planned layout for the track is hippodrome style with curves and turns.
The driving concept will be adjusted similar to what motorbikes have in the so-called speedway. It means that four go karts will race to collect points, which will later determine who have qualified to drive in the finals.
The go karts themselves will be made on the sport chassis base and will have Rotax Max engines inside, which will be adapted and put on the start line by the organisers. This means that the drivers won’t need to take their own go karts along, the only thing required will be the fee for participating in the race.
The championship calendar will be put together later on and will consist of ten stages. Five of the stages will be trials and the first stage will start along with the first snow.
Moreover, the standing leaders will have a unique chance to join the JTSVC team for a training camp in Italy. The driver who’ll come first in the standings will have the camp 100% paid for, with the second and third position having their stay paid for 60% and 30% accordingly.
We welcome your ideas and thoughts of how to make the Prokart Winter Cup work and be organised as good as possible.

I would like to ask if there already is any calendar and if it will be organized at all?

Interesanta štelle.
Kāda ir plānotā dalības maksa? Vai vajadzīgas ProKart licences un apdrošināšana vai var pieteikties jebkurš gribētājs?

Sveiki,
Sakarā ar to, ka čempionāts norisināsies Prokart ietvaros, būs nepieciešama Prokart licence, tiem sportistiem, kuriem tās nav, varēs aizpildīt sacensību dienā uz vietas anketu un iegūt licenci, savukārt apdrošināšana nav obligāta.
Ideja tika ņemta no Somijas, kurā tiek organizētas šāda veida sacensības ar dalības maksu - 400 Euro, mēs centīsimies darīt visu, lai dalības maksa nepārsniegtu 200 EUR.
